Since working at the University of Michigan, our events team has never had the opportunity to plan an event for our Baltimore area donors, so we did a lot of searching to find just the right caterer for our event. Luckily, we found Hoopla! Catering on Instagram, and we thought they would be a great fit. I appreciated how flexible they were in booking and then helping us coordinate a site visit since the event was in a unique venue that required additional work on their part.

Turns out, they were more than a great fit, but they exceeded our expectations! The attention to detail with menu selections gave our guests so many opportunities to enjoy a variety of Baltimore specialities. Not only was the food delicious, but with the strolling dinner layout, the catering team was thoughtful in giving our guests the experience of seeing how each food item came together in front of their eyes.

The feedback we got from our guests, staff and even the University President was, "Everything I tried was absolutely delicious".

It feels good to have such a solid caterer in a new area and I know I cannot wait for the opportunity to work with this group again!

Hoopla was the perfect caterer for our employee March Madness themed party! Dori, Kat and their team understood my vision of "stadium food but boujee" and brought it to life - from the fun linens to the popcorn, soft pretzel, nacho and hot dog displays - it was perfect. We worked with Hoopla for our wedding back in December, and it was a great experience from start to finish! Dori was super quick in putting a proposal together for us and even being flexible when we had to accommodate a guest who had an unexpected health condition along the way that impacted their food choice.

One of the highlights for us during the whole wedding planning process was doing a tasting with Dori and her team. We had a blast just engaging with Dori and the chefs, and we truly felt like we were part of the process as we were sharing our thoughts along the way.

As we got closer to the wedding, we especially appreciated how helpful Dori was in securing our linens and the logistics of flipping the room. We really felt supported by Dori and her team along the way.

For the major highlight... the food! It's been a little over two months since our wedding and our guests are STILL complimenting us on the food. Every thing that guests ate was enjoyed, and we are so so incredibly glad that we went with Hoopla!

My husband and I are local to Baltimore so when we started to plan our wedding, Hoopla was the only choice for food. Food Market is our favorite restaurant in the city and their catering experience gave us the exact same experience we love. We cannot thank the team enough for their help and support. As a newly Gluten Free bride, the team customized ALL the deserts and made a special Gluten Free salad for my dinner. Our guests rave about our wedding food months after our October wedding.

We decided to do a buffet, which I was nervous about, but the staff served our guests to keep our lines moving, allowed for everyone to be fed quickly, and second portions were given to those in need.

During our tasting the chefs were on hand in the Private Dining room to hear feedback and offer adjustments in real time (gluten free). Dori took away all the stress I gave myself on seating plans, table set up, and linens. Just wow from start to finish, I cannot imagine a better partner to make our wedding perfect and seamless.

Everything was absolutely perfect for our office Holiday party. The team made due with a limited kitchen and a wide range of picky eaters. Hoopla! exceeded all expectations by far. We had a cocktail style wedding with a large grazing board, passed foods, desserts and a late night snack-every single thing was amazing! Holy moly. Hoopla knocked this one out of the park.

We engaged the Hoopla team for our after wedding brunch at our home. The goal was to have party #2 and man did they show up. The culinary team executed flawlessly and was so respectful of our space. The food was hot, delicious and beautifully presented. The buffet table was set well and was consistently maintained. If any guest had a request their team was on top of it in seconds.

We also had two bars which were well stocked, staffed and executed. Kat was constantly checking in with us to see how things were going, offered to bring us (the hosts) drinks the entire day and was there to answer any question we had.

Extremely easy team to work with, insanely friendly staff, super well organized. Couldn't have asked for a better day. Hoopla nailed it and we will forever recommend their services and team. Hoping to also use you all again in the future!!! Major thanks for being apart of such an epic and memorable weekend.

Hoopla did an incredible job helping us host our wedding. We reached out to them with only a few weeks at hand and were willing to accommodate us with our short timeline. They came out to the venue with us to help plan out the setup of the dinnerware and location setups and answered a wide assortment of questions that came up then and later via email.

As the wedding approached, they helped us deal with last minute meal changes from our guests. They were open to us bringing our own desserts, as the mother of the bride had expressed a desire to do so. This included the cake which at the wedding they helped us set up to become a 2-tier cake.

All throughout the wedding they were trying to accommodate us and gave us one less thing to worry about. The guests were raving about all of the food that they tried at the cocktail hour and dinner, as well as the special drink prepared for the wedding.

It couldn't have gone any better and we're really happy that we chose Hoopla to cater our wedding!

My husband and I used Hoopla’s services for our May 2024 wedding. We can’t say enough good things about our experience working with the entire Hoopla team. Dori was absolute life-saver - helping us plan the day and work through all the details. Throughout the entire process she was kind, responsive, and she thought of every last thing. We truly could not have done this without her.

Chefs Kat and Todd were incredibly easy to work with. They made sure we were happy with everything during our tasting and were more than willing to incorporate any notes we had for them.

Janet, our day of coordinator, was so lovely. She made sure that as the bride, I didn’t have to focus on anything else other than enjoying the day. She made sure everything ran smoothly.

As for the food, it was spectacular! We had guests chasing down the waiters during cocktail hour, as they couldn’t get enough of the Amish Soft Pretzels! I was warned in advance as a bride to make sure I ate on my wedding day, and I had no trouble doing so. Everything was delicious. My husband and I even went back to The Food Market to celebrate our one week anniversary!

Hoopla Catering has been our catering company for the last five years or so. We’ve used them for a graduation party and multiple sit down dinners for large groups of about twenty people. We’ve also used them for luncheons and holiday party’s at our house. Recently we used Hoopla for a get together of about sixty people at house. It was pulled off flawlessly! Dori has always been a fantastic and detailed facilitator of our events. The organization and friendly, helpful staff has made each event special and stress free. The food choices are many and eating the food is the best part! Delicious! We’ll be using Hoopla for all our home events in the future.

Everything was AMAZING!! People have not stopped telling us how incredible and delicious our wedding food was! Everything from the apps to the candied bacon in the wedge salad to the short rib and even the dessert table was a huge hit! We celebrate all of our life occasions at The Food Market so we knew the food would be delicious, but the feedback we have been getting is beyond! The Hoopla staff was also so professional, friendly and nice, which made the night feel seamless. It was also so lovely getting a tray of some of the passed apps delivered to my husband and I right after the ceremony so that we could collect ourselves, have a moment together and actually eat something before greeting our guests. 

Overall, everything was incredible and we could not have asked for a better wedding caterer. Thank you so much for everything!!
